There is a new face leading the Kohler girls basketball program.
The Kohler School District has announced that Craig Loest has been named the head coach of the girls’ varsity basketball team.
Loest replaces former head coach Richard Wiese, who leaves the program following a successful 22-5 season in the always-difficult Big East South Conference, where the Blue Bombers went 10-2, only losing to the undefeated state champion Oostburg Flying Dutchmen.
On the new hire, the district noted, “Coach Loest brings energy, leadership, and commitment both on and off the court. We are excited to see the positive impact he will have on our basketball program and school community!”
Loest enters the role after serving as the Kohler girls’ junior varsity coach last season.
