The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is seeking input from the public on a future road project in Sheboygan County.
The DOT has created a project website for proposed improvements on State Highway 23 between Sheboygan and Sheboygan Falls to provide information on the potential construction.
Proposed work includes milling and repaving 23, constructing a new right turn lane in the eastbound lane at State Highway 32, adding traffic signals to that same intersection, and more.
Regarding the creation of the site, the DOT noted, “The purpose of the website is to provide information regarding the proposed improvements, describe the potential impacts it would have on the community, and offer an opportunity for public comment.”
On the website, those looking to provide feedback will be able to do so by sharing comments, questions, or concerns.
If approved, the project would run from 32 to Taylor Drive in Sheboygan.
Construction is expected to begin sometime in 2029.
