If everything is progressing as expected, some of the I-43/Highway 23 interchange ramps in Sheboygan County should be reopened this week.
The DOT shut down the Southbound collector/distributor ramp and associated loop ramps at Highway 23 for bridge work on Monday, June 29th.
That closure was supposed to last 35 days, which would line up with this Wednesday being the date of reopening.
The DOT has not revealed if that is going to be the case for sure, as weather and other issues could cause delays.
Crews will still be out conducting rehabilitation work on the north and southbound sides of I-43 between Highways 28 and 42 as a part of its sprawling 10-mile rehabilitation project.
Also starting this week will be guardrail installation from Highway 28 to Wilson Lima Road.
