A local continuing care community is offering a free dementia workshop in mid-September.
The public is invited to attend Approach Matters at Felician Village on Monday, September 14th at 10:30 a.m.
The organization says Dementia can change the way a person experiences the world, not only through memory and communication, but also through their senses and perception.
Dementia Care Solutions Representative Sheri Fairman will present how to better understand what a person living with dementia may be experiencing through their senses and explore practical ways to adapt their approach.
Felician Village Director of Marketing Megan Bruckschen says the workshop offers an opportunity to gain new perspectives and discover practical tools to enhance the caregiving process.
