A dog that has been missing for over a month has been found.
Get Toby Home Lost Dog Search and Rescue and the Lakeshore Humane Society worked together to safely trap Snickers, a 39-pound Black Mouth Cur who was reported missing 34 days prior to her rescue.
Get Toby Home Lost was leading the search, which was made more difficult by the fact that Snickers is rather skittish around people.
The organization praised all of the volunteers who helped locate Snickers, including those at the Lakeshore Humane Society whose help directly led to her reunion with her owner.
Get Toby Home was founded in 2017 and was named after a canine who was never located.
They are still searching for nine missing dogs, including Spirit, a 16-pound Miniature Pinscher who was last seen seven months ago in the area of North 6th and Chicago Streets in Manitowoc, and Mavis, a 60-pound Australian Shepherd last seen on February 13th in the area of 23rd and Adams Streets in Two Rivers.
