Manitowoc’s Mayor is reminding the public about a special ceremony to remember the worst attack on American soil.
The city and Manitowoc Eagles Aerie #706 will host a special 9/11 memorial service to mark the anniversary on Friday, September 11th, at Red Arrow Park, beginning at 5:00 p.m.
Following the ceremony, the public is invited to an open house at the Eagles Club starting at 5:30 p.m.
Our Legacy Restaurant will also hold a fundraiser for the K9 programs.
Mayor Nickels says anyone with 9/11 memorabilia they want to share can bring it to the Eagles Club to display from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The evening will be an opportunity for reflection and sharing memories with the community.
