A book talk and signing is scheduled for this weekend at the Wisconsin Maritime Museum.
Laurie Lawlor, who has written “Many Voices, Building Erie: The Canal that Changed America,” will speak at the Manitowoc museum.
Her book provides insight into the Erie Canal’s pivotal role in the development of shipping on the Great Lakes.
She will discuss this and the canal construction in her 45-minute book talk, which will be followed by a question-and-answer segment and book signing.
This event will take place on August 30th from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm in the Museum’s Riverview Room, and all community members are invited to attend.
