The Roncalli/Two Rivers girls tennis team was in Appleton yesterday for a six-school meet, where they took two of their three matchups.
They opened up competition with a 6-1 loss to the host Appleton North Lightning. Megan Lamers, who is looking to compete in her fourth consecutive state tournament, was the lone winner in that matchup, taking down Emilie Woodrow 7-6 (2), 6-4.
The local squad bounced back with a 6-1 win over Appleton West, followed by a 7-0 win over West.
In fact, they didn’t drop a single set in that final matchup.
The Roncalli/Two Rivers girls will be right back at it today as they host Fox Valley Lutheran at the Two Rivers High School Tennis Courts.
