Fresh Meals on Wheels of Sheboygan County is expanding its daily delivery routes.
With this expansion of assistance in the county, FMOW is in need of additional volunteers to deliver over 2,000 meals a week to older adults and individuals with disabilities.
The need for this expanded coverage and additional volunteers comes as FMOW has seen a 12% increase in requests for meal services.
Monday through Friday, deliveries will begin at 11:10 a.m. and take approximately one hour to complete.
On the other hand, as harvest season is here, FMOW is also seeking volunteers to assist with processing fresh produce inside the nonprofit’s Christopher Family Kitchen.
These volunteers will be responsible for washing, sorting, preparing, and preserving produce that gets incorporated into the meals that they provide.
