Halloween will be extra special this year with the Zombie Zoom taking place on October 31st.
This 5K will be run through downtown Two Rivers, and participants are highly encouraged to put on their costumes and bring the spooky season to the race.
This race isn’t just about being first; there are several different categories where people can win prizes.
These categories are best individual costume, best group costume, best dog costume, and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female winners.
The 5K will be chip-timed, and winners will be posted online after the race so the community can help them celebrate this accomplishment.
All money raised at this event will go toward the Two Rivers Parks & Recreation Youth Sports Equipment and Financial Aid Fund, which provides more young kids with the opportunity to participate in recreational programs.
A training program is being put on by Two Rivers Parks & Recreation to prepare anyone participating in the Zombie Zoom 5K.
The program is eight weeks long and open to all skill levels, and its goal is to help participants improve their fitness and grow confidence in their running.
