Two Manitowoc men have been arrested on fentanyl charges.
40-year-old Lucas Munson received a $200 cash bail, while 42-year-old Cory Hawpetoss was given a $100 cash bail by Court Commissioner Jewel Scharenbroch yesterday (August 13th).
While both of these amounts are rather small, it was noted that both individuals are on PO holds through the Department of Corrections and will remain in custody regardless of whether they post their bails.
Both Hawpetoss and Munson have been charged with Possession of Fentanyl and Drug Paraphernalia among other charges following a recent incident that occurred in Manitowoc County.
The two were pulled over and, upon search of the vehicle with the help of a K9 unit, a backpack containing fentanyl was located in the trunk, and they were taken into custody.
Additional terms of their bail include no contact with one another, maintaining absolute sobriety, and no possession of controlled substances.
Hawpetoss and Munson will return to court on Monday (August 17th) to make their initial appearances.
