As scammers continue to prey on area residents, they are now going after seniors in Two Rivers.
The Two Rivers Senior Center is informing the public that scammers are posing as representatives with an altered number to make it seem as if they are coming from the Senior Center itself.
These scammers are promising victims discounts or winnings, however, the Senior Center assures residents that it will never call for this reason.
They also added, “If you receive a suspicious call asking for money, personal information, or other sensitive information, do not provide it. When in doubt, hang up and contact the Senior Center directly using a trusted phone number.”
Additionally, anyone receiving such a call is advised to report the incident to the authorities as well.
