A man has been sentenced after being convicted of hitting and injuring a Madison police officer.
Christopher Brugger Jr. was found guilty in April on 13 of 16 counts, including hit-and-run and reckless driving.
The incident happened in 2025 after officers responded to a tow truck driving recklessly and nearly hitting multiple vehicles on Highway 51.
Brugger led officers on a chase and drove off recklessly, leading to him hitting a MPD squad car and running away.
He was sentenced to 18 years in prison, followed by 15 years of extended supervision.
