An annual summertime event takes over downtown Manitowoc tonight.
The Lakeshore Balloon Glow runs from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Volunteers will be seen setting up the event around 2:00 p.m.
The Webfooters Water Ski Show begins at 5:30 p.m., and the magic show in the children’s area takes place at 6:30 p.m.
The famous hot-air balloons will begin to inflate around 7:30 p.m., followed by a fireworks show over the Manitowoc Harbor at 8:30 p.m.
There will also be plenty of food trucks and cold drinks available downtown.
For those who don’t want to park downtown, buses and trolleys will begin shuttling people back and forth at three locations starting at 4:45 p.m.
They include the JFK Fieldhouse Parking Lot at Lincoln High School, Roncalli High School, and Faith Church.
The last trolley to leave the balloon glow will be at 9:00 p.m. More information can be found at visitmanitowoc.org.
