The Patriot Riders of America WI Chapter 2 in Manitowoc is remembering a fallen soldier with an annual auto show.
The 4th Annual Dustin J. Knapp Memorial Car and Bike Show gets underway tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. and goes until 4:00 p.m. at Branch Recreational Park off Highway 10 in Whitelaw.
Registration for the show begins at 9:00 a.m. and goes until 11:30 a.m. with a $10 entry fee.
The car and bike show includes a 50/50 raffle, raffle baskets, and silent auctions.
Food and drinks will be provided by Branch Station, while Hightower Entertainment DJ Services will provide the music.
There will also be a free kids’ zone with face painting and a vendor area for adults.
A trophy presentation takes place at 3:00 p.m. to crown the winners of the car and bike show. All proceeds go to Desert Veterans of Wisconsin, Green Bay.
The event honors US Army Afghanistan Veteran Dustin J. Knapp, who was sadly killed sixteen years ago while home on leave from his 2nd tour.
Knapp was hit and killed by a passing car while he was walking home in Two Rivers just six days after he bought his dream car, a 1965 Ford Mustang.
His father restored the car in his memory. More information can be found on the Patriot Riders of America WI Chapter 2 Facebook page.
