The City of Manitowoc is now accepting applications for bowhunting and landowner permissions.
Those looking to bowhunt within the city limits are required to submit their applications by no later than September 4th to allow sufficient time for processing before the start of the archery season.
Applicants must also complete the landowner application attached to their bowhunting application.
It was also noted that City-owned property on Orchard Lane will no longer be open to hunting.
Unlike in years past, there will be no informational meeting held this year regarding bowhunting in the City of Manitowoc.
Information regarding the purpose of the hunt, the types of permissions needed to bowhunt in the city, and the rules established by the city to ensure a safe hunt can be found on the application materials, which can be obtained by emailing Lieutenant Sohlden at asohlden@manitowocwi.gov.
