The City of Manitowoc is inviting the public to an event remembering those lost in one of the worst terrorist attacks in U.S. history.
The City, in partnership with the Eagles Club, will be hosting a community remembrance ceremony on September 11th at Red Arrow Park.
This event will be held to commemorate the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001. On what to expect, the City stated, “The ceremony will feature the National Anthem performed by the Clipper City Chordsmen, followed by remarks from Manitowoc Fire Chief Ben Kraynek, Manitowoc Police Chief John Musial, and Mayor Justin Nickels. Retired Captain of Detectives Pete McGinty will also perform a bagpipe tribute as part of the ceremony.”
The ceremony will be open to the public, and residents are encouraged to attend and show their support for everyone who lost their lives as a result of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
