A teacher from Kaukauna has been arrested for inappropriate sexual activity with a child.
The Kaukauna Police Department reports that on Monday (August 10th), 43-year-old Ty M. Maki was arrested for Attempted Exposing a Child to Harmful Materials.
At the time of his arrest, Maki served as a 5th grade teacher at Kaukauna’s River View Middle School.
Throughout the investigation, detectives obtained subpoenas and search warrants regarding the 43-year-old’s online activity.
This revealed that Maki was engaged in sexually explicit chats online with a child whom he thought was under the age of 16.
However, at this time, authorities do not believe that any children in the Kaukauna area were harmed or exposed to harmful materials.
As the investigation remains open, no further details will be provided at this time.
