A nonprofit in the Sheboygan area is looking to bridge the area’s digital divide.
The United Way of Sheboygan County has announced a new partnership with Techquity Wisconsin to provide free laptops to local residents in need.
Techquity Wisconsin is a statewide initiative that aims to provide no-cost, long-term loaned laptops and digital navigation support to eligible Wisconsin residents.
On what this partnership will mean for our neighbors in need, the United Way noted, “This program, powered by United Way of Wisconsin in partnership with local United Way branches, is designed to help individuals overcome digital barriers and gain access to the tools they need for success in education, employment, healthcare, and daily life.”
Furthermore, the program will also allow for one-on-one digital navigation support to ensure participants get the most out of their device for personal and professional growth.
Participants will also receive additional resources, including affordable internet services and other online learning opportunities.
