Shoreland League Semifinals kicked off last night with some great baseball around the area.
The Casco A’s earned a win over the Ashwaubenon Lookouts 8-3 thanks to a full team effort at the plate.
The A’s scattered 12 hits in the road win, including a 3-RBI performance by Owen Deprez.
On the mound, Colin Lacey had a great outing, striking out 14 batters over his full game effort.
Meanwhile, in Denmark, it was a historic outing by pitcher Gavin Rusch, who hurled a perfect game and an immaculate inning, which is when the pitcher strikes out three straight batters on 9 pitches.
His effort on the mound helped secure an 8-0 win for the Devilbears over the Kewaunee Chiefs.
Game two of both series will be held tomorrow night at Casco’s Village Park and Memorial Park in Kewaunee.
First pitch at both locations is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
