The Sheboygan Police Department is asking for increased vigilance after a weekend incident.
Officers recovered a vehicle that was stolen from a community member during the overnight or early morning hours of Saturday into Sunday.
While several arrests have been made, the investigation is still ongoing, and additional arrests are expected.
Sheboygan Police says locking cars and garages, removing keys and valuables from vehicles, installing motion-activated lighting, and working with neighbors can be small steps that have a huge impact on crime reduction.
The department finishes by saying that they have a “very safe community and with your help, we can keep it that way.”
