A Milwaukee County gun range is removing Flock cameras over concerns about privacy.
Eagle Sports Range in Cudahy announced on social media that it is taking down the cameras, which were installed at the end of 2023.
The range says the cameras were originally installed for safety purposes, but officials later learned the system could be “used in ways that raise serious privacy concerns.”
Eagle Sports says it previously attempted to have the cameras removed, but Flock cited contractual obligations.
The range now says it will handle the contract issue on its own.
