A nonprofit organization is seeking help for its most significant volunteering day of the year.
The United Way of Sheboygan County’s 2026 Day of Caring will take place on September 24th and is the largest one-day volunteering event in the county.
Each year, Day of Caring brings together hundreds of local volunteers to complete meaningful service projects.
Work will be done at local parks, schools, fellow nonprofits, and more.
Individuals and groups of people such as clubs or employers are encouraged to participate to help improve the quality of life in Sheboygan County.
The United Way stated, “Day of Caring is your chance to give back, care for our neighbors and be a part of creating lasting change in our community.”
Those interested in participating will have the chance to sign up to volunteer when the online portal officially opens on Monday (August 10th).
Last year, Day of Caring included 1,300 volunteers representing 29 companies putting in 4,800 hours of service, netting almost $167,000 in local economic impact.
