A Monroe County man charged in the attempted killing of his wife is pleading not guilty.
The incident happened in Sparta back in April.
The victim says she told police her husband, Randal Cunitz, tried to strangle her and provided authorities with an audio recording of the attack.
Cunitz pleaded not guilty yesterday to charges including attempted first-degree intentional homicide.
