Work on Wisconsin’s first Buc-ee’s travel center is underway.
The 73,000-square-foot facility in Oak Creek is expected to have 120 gas pumps and bring even more jobs to the area.
Crews have been laying the groundwork to prepare for utilities, while vertical construction is expected to begin before the new year.
Officials had hoped to open the travel center sometime next year, but a sewer project nearby delayed construction, and now the project could be completed by early 2028.
