The City of Sheboygan has officially annexed land to expand a local manufacturer’s footprint.
The city’s Plan Commission approved the land for Northland Plastics, which they say marks a new chapter for the business and assets to the city’s ongoing collaboration with its business community.
Department of Planning and Development Director Taylor Zeinert says the project represents the type of thoughtful, long-term economic development the city has been working toward, adding the company “strengthens our economic fabric, enhances quality job opportunities to our community, and signals continued confidence in Sheboygan as a place to do business.”
Northland Plastics will have access to City of Sheboygan resources, including water and sewer, which are “essential for their operation.”
The annexation also promotes the relocation of their headquarters to a compatible land use.
The final consideration of the annexation will be made by the Sheboygan Common Council today (August 3rd) during their regular meeting.
