There are two meetings scheduled for today (August 3rd) in the City of Manitowoc.
Up first is the Personnel Committee, which will be in the Council Chambers at 5:0 p.m.
After hearing comments from the public and reviewing their usual monthly reports, the group will discuss the group’s 2027 budget and will get an update on the city’s drug and alcohol policies.
They will also enter a closed session to get the latest on the contract bargaining with the police union.
Then, at 5:30 p.m., the Finance Committee will take over the Chambers, where they will also hear comments from the public.
After reviewing the 2nd quarter claims and budget exception reports, the group will discuss a land lease renewal with Charmwood Farms for a parcel of land at Hecker and Viebahn Streets.
