Residents affected by April storms in Manitowoc County have only about a month left to apply for federal funding through FEMA or the U.S. Small Business Administration.
Wisconsin Emergency Management Administrator Greg Engle says more than $44.1 million in federal aid is in the hands of more than 16,000 disaster survivors in 20 counties and the Oneida Nation.
If you are an eligible homeowner or would like to find out if you are, the fastest way is to apply for aid online at DisasterAssistance.gov.
Engle noted that if there are still unmet needs after getting an insurance settlement and applying with FEMA, loans could help address the issue.
For small businesses and organizations, the SBA could have funding available for those who think they qualify.
