Former Wisconsin Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes is dropping out of the Democratic race for governor.
Barnes made the announcement Thursday on social media, saying it’s clear who the Democratic nominee is going to be.
He was 22 points behind state representative Francesca Hong in a Marquette Law School poll released Wednesday.
According to the poll, more people actually said they were undecided than said they supported Barnes.
Absentee voting is already underway in Wisconsin’s August 11th primary.
