A resurfacing project in Calumet County has been completed.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) says the project was done on State Highway 32 between New Holstein and Chilton.
During the project, the state agency added temporary rumble strips in advance of the work zone and tested speed feedback before starting flagging operations to encourage slowing down.
WisDOT Project Supervisor Kristen Berg says, “Work zone safety matters because it’s important for everyone to get home at the end of the day. Please, watch your speed and pay attention to the road ahead in all work zones.”
The project was announced in May so the state could resurface and overlay the pavement and remove a culvert pipe before repainting.
