
The man charged with killing a man in an Oshkosh park has been sentenced.
FOX11 reports that 20-year-old Daunte Riley was ordered to spend 25 years in prison followed by 15 years on extended supervision after previously pleading guilty to a charge of 1st Degree Reckless Homicide.
Riley was arrested after an incident on July 5th, 2025.
The criminal complaint notes that there was an altercation between two groups at Menominee Park, which resulted in someone spraying bear mace into the crowd.
Riley was said to be leaving the area when Walter Brooks stepped in front of the vehicle he was in.
Riley then got out to confront Brooks and stabbed him directly in the heart.
