La Crosse County jurors heard opening statements Monday in the homicide trial of Cody Alland.
Alland is charged in the 2025 fatal shooting of 42-year-old Justin Betz outside of Newie’s Vogue Bar on George Street.
Prosecutors also began their presentation of witnesses yesterday.
The trial is expected to last through the week.
