A candle company known for giving back is looking to help those affected by yesterday’s tornadoes.
The Door County Candle Company has unveiled its Wisconsin Strong Candle, with 100% of the profits from every candle sold supporting disaster relief efforts in Menasha, Appleton, and Neenah.
Those three communities were among the most heavily impacted by two separate tornadoes, which left buildings destroyed and trees downed. The candle, which comes in a 16oz size, has a warm vanilla scent. This is not the first time Door County Candle has tried to help a cause.
The company raised over $275,000 for the people of Ukraine in the early days of the Russian invasion by selling a candle designed to resemble the Ukrainian flag, and also raised $30,000 to help the people of Maui after the devastating wildfires in 2023.
