More lane closures have been implemented on I-43 in Sheboygan County.
Construction on the interstate highway continues this week, with the Highway 23 interchange remaining closed, and the DOT has unveiled some new closures.
On the southbound side, there will be overnight lane closures in place from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Mondays through Fridays, and 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Sundays into Mondays between Highways 42 and 28.
On the northbound side, in the same area, lanes will be closed from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Sundays through Thursdays and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. Fridays into Saturday mornings.
Additionally, the replacement of an expansion joint begins next week on the County Road PP overpass, resulting in temporary traffic signals at each end of the bridge.
This week, the contractor will also continue its rehab work on various structures between Highways 28 and V, and will continue milling operations between Highways 28 and 42.
More details on the project, which is expected to be completed sometime in November, can be found at projects.511WI.gov.
