Manitowoc County’s unemployment rate jumped slightly from June 2025 to June 2026.
Unadjusted area numbers from the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development show that unemployment was at 3.1% in June last year compared to 3.3 % last month.
Those numbers are much different in comparison from May 2026 to June 2026. In May this year, unemployment was around 2.7%.
Sheboygan County’s unemployment rate stayed the same from June a year ago to June this year at 3.1%.
Calumet County’s unemployment jumped up a little year-to-date in June from 3.1% in 2025 and 3.2% in 2026.
Unemployment in Kewaunee County was stagnant at 2.8% from June last year to June this year.
Brown and Outagamie Counties also saw slight increases in unemployment.
