The Manitowoc-Two Rivers is recognizing a local company for helping with this year’s new 4K Y Enrichment program starting at Riverview Early Learning Center.
Redline Plastics will give $50,000 for classroom setup, age-appropriate equipment, educational materials, and other needs to prepare classrooms for the program’s launch this fall.
Manitowoc-Two Rivers CEO Julie Grossman says Redline’s generous investment not only helps kids thrive but “recognizes that childcare is a fundamental component of a thriving local economy. They understand that when kids are well cared for, our workforce is more stable, and our future employees are more prepared.”
The Y is working with the Manitowoc Public School District to offer families a new, no-cost full-day 4K option at Riverview.
Grossman says the partnership significantly expands the number of families who can access 4K.
There could also be an expansion of YMCA four-year-old programming from 18 children to as many as 200.
Registration is still being accepted for Early Learning and 4K Y Enrichment.
