Safe Harbor of Sheboygan County has added two new members to its team.
The organization has announced that Lucas Altman and Doug Teunissen have been appointed to the Safe Harbor Board of Directors.
Teunissen, the Assistant Chief of Police with the Sheboygan Police Department, has nearly 30 years of experience in the law enforcement field and in aiding victims.
Altman is a Family Nurse Practitioner with Prevea Health who has shown a commitment to caring for individuals and families in times of crisis.
On what it means bringing these two on board, Safe Harbor CEO Jeanne McLellan said, “Both bring unique professional expertise, thoughtful leadership, and a deep commitment to serving our community. Their perspectives will strengthen our Board as we continue working to ensure every survivor has access to safety, support, and hope.”
As board members, Teunissen and Altman will work to advance Safe Harbor’s mission of providing safety, support, and advocacy for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.
