A long-standing fishing tournament in Sheboygan will be happening after all.
After previous announcements regarding its cancellation, the 58th annual Coho Derby is officially back on.
The derby will be held, as previously scheduled, from July 31st through August 2nd, offering three days of some of the best trophy fishing the state of Wisconsin has to offer.
The tournament has become a summer staple in Sheboygan, and after hearing about its cancellation, multiple groups and organizations came together to try and do what they could to make sure it went on as planned.
This included Anglers Pub & Grill, which will now serve as the tournament’s headquarters.
As of now, aside from the fishing, the derby will include live music, basket and 50/50 raffles, bounce houses for kids, and more.
On this revelation, Anglers Pub & Grill noted, “This wouldn’t be happening without the amazing support and excitement from our community. We listened, worked behind the scenes, and made it happen for all of you!”
Event organizers have said that more details regarding registration information and the full schedule will be announced in the near future.
