While his body was not found, a search warrant on a home in Campbellsport did uncover some new evidence in the Bobby Jo Fritz case.
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office had been searching Bobby Jo’s childhood home over the past couple of days after previously finding other new evidence.
What exactly was found during this search is not clear, as the Sheriff’s Office previously noted that “additional information will only be released at a time when it will not compromise case integrity,” but Sheriff Ryan F. Waldschmidt did say that “Detectives remain hopeful that this evidence will provide further insight into what happened to Bobby Jo.”
This is just the latest development in the case, as detectives have identified and interviewed several individuals, some of whom had never been spoken to before, who may have connections to the case over the past year.
Sheriff Waldschmidt closed his statement, saying, “Although we share the community’s disappointment that Bobby Jo’s remains were not found, investigators are optimistic that the newly collected evidence will generate fresh leads and help bring answers to this 43-year-old case.”
Bobby Jo disappeared in front of his Campbellsport home on May 14th, 1983, and has been missing ever since.
