Most Eastern Wisconsin counties saw double-digit jumps at the pump over the past week.
Manitowoc County was one of the few that did not, with the $3.74 average per gallon of regular unleaded fuel reported this morning on the AAA Gas Prices website being eight cents more than this time last week.
This is also 23 cents higher than just two weeks ago and $1.28 higher than the five-year lows reported in January.
Sheboygan County was also one of the “lucky” ones, reporting a nine-cent bump from last week to $3.70, while Calumet County’s five-cent increase to $3.83 marked the smallest increase of the week.
Outagamie County, on the other hand, had the biggest increase, skyrocketing 23 cents to $3.79, although they only saw a four-cent increase last week when everywhere else was in the double digits.
Meanwhile, Brown County motorists are paying 20 cents more per gallon with an average of $3.84, while Kewaunee and Door Counties’ averages are up a dime to $3.81 and $3.82, respectively.
The state average is up 16 cents to $3.80, and the national average is up 17 cents to $4.06.
