The Manitowoc American Legion baseball team begins its postseason push tonight.
Post 88 will be at Sunset Park in Kimberly for the double-elimination-style regional tournament, and will do so on a bit of a hot streak.
The squad, consisting of ball players from several Manitowoc County schools, bounced back from a rough go at the Eau Claire Tournament to end the regular season on a two-game win streak.
Manitowoc opens the regional tournament with a rematch against Kimberly, whom they faced at the Marinette Firecracker Tournament at the end of June.
In that matchup, Manitowoc walked away with a 9-2 win.
Tonight’s game will begin at 7:30 p.m., with the winner facing either Appleton Doubledays or Neenah at 7:30 tomorrow night.
The losers will battle at 5:00 p.m.
