Another successful fundraising campaign is in the books for the Sheboygan County Food Bank.
The Food Bank has shared that its 4th annual Fund Food for Thought Campaign has officially ended, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars to keep local children well-fed during the upcoming school year.
In total, $132,000 was raised through donations and independent fundraisers throughout the summer.
However, thanks to a dollar-for-dollar match from the Black Spring Foundation, $265,000 was raised to support the 2026-2027 Food for Thought for Kids program, which supplies students in need with take-home baggies of food to ensure they are not going hungry when not in school over the weekends.
On another year of outpouring support, the Food Bank said gratefully, “Every gift, fundraiser, and share helped move this campaign forward for hundreds of students who will now have reliable access to nutritious food when school is not in session. We are deeply grateful to Black Spring Foundation for providing matching funds that helped extend the impact of every donation.”
With this money raised, the Food Bank looks to feed a program high 750 students this school year from 29 schools across the county.
