The Senior Center in Two Rivers has some gangster themed events in their future.
Heather Ihlenfeldt works for the Two Rivers Senior Center, and she says that their first event is John Dillinger from Indiana to Wisconsin to Chicago.
John Wyrostek, a gangster historian, will be coming to the Senior Center to speak about the very curious life of John Dillinger.
“A different type of personality, and you’ll learn that from John’s talk. He’s very, very interesting,” Ihlenfeldt explained.
This will be held in the Cosco room at the Senior Center on July 22 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm.
Wyrostek will be back in the fall to talk about the life of Al Capone, which will lead into the Senior Centers Mystery Dinner Theatre.
This year, the dinner is gangster themed and will be held in the gymnasium of the Community House on November 7th.
Tickets go on sale September 1st, and VIP tickets, which allow participants to get in on the action, will be $50, while general admission is $25.
With Wyrostek presenting again, it’s sure to be a good time.
She added, “He’s a very good speaker and energetic and passionate about what he is talking about, so he’s really fun to listen to.”
The Senior Center is excited to put on all of these events for their community, and hope that they have a full house.
