The Random Lake School District has been awarded a significant grant from the WEA Member Benefits Foundation, Inc.
The $25,000 grant will be used to support school-based mental health initiatives.
The WEA Member Benefits Foundation, Inc. explained that the district was selected because of its “well-deserved reputation throughout the state for its comprehensive approach to student and educator mental health.”
District Superintendent Michael Trimberger thanked the foundation, saying “Their partnership has been instrumental in helping us implement our UNYTUS model, where durable skills, movement, relationships and purpose become daily habits that strengthen the mental wellness of every student.”
To date, the Foundation’s mental health funding initiative includes 28 districts and serves more than 150,000 of the state’s 785,000 K-12 students.
