The most important thing for consumers is having trust in the companies they’re buying from.
Lisa Shillerof with the Better Business Bureau ran some surveys on consumers to see what was most important to them when buying from businesses.
“The findings show that trust is now the leading factor in consumers’ decision-making. 92% of Wisconsinites told us that trust is either important or very important when doing business with any company,” she explained.
People lose trust when businesses have poor service, unclear pricing, hidden fees, or when the company is not straightforward.
Despite this, trust can be restored when the company resolves those problems.
Shillerof stated, “So, very, very important in an AI-driven economy, we know that trust is not optional, it’s a necessity.”
More surveys are being run by the BBB to better understand consumers and businesses.
