An elderly Ripon man has been arrested on child porn charges.
The Ripon Police Department conducted a search warrant on the home of a yet unnamed 72-year-old man on Tuesday for an Internet Crimes Against Children Investigation.
The search of the home in the 600 block of State Street uncovered what Officer Brandon Shew called “a significant amount of Child Sexual Abuse Material.”
The 72-year-old man was arrested on multiple counts of Possession of Child Pornography, as the investigation is ongoing.
Further details are expected to be released once the criminal complaint is issued.
The Ripon Police Department was assisted by the Wisconsin Department of Justice, Division of Criminal Investigation, and the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office.
