Multiple arrests have been made in an ongoing firearm and vehicle theft investigation in Fond du Lac.
The investigation first opened on July 5th when the Fond du Lac Police Department learned of juveniles entering a vehicle.
A 16-year-old male was arrested in that incident, but it was learned that he was also connected to several other recent vehicle entries.
This led to a search warrant being served on an apartment in the 600 block of South Main Street, which resulted in the recovery of stolen property and multiple other suspects being identified.
A 19-year-old man was arrested by the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office, and a 17-year-old male and a 19-year-old female were arrested in Bever Dam.
In total, four stolen firearms were recovered, along with numerous other items of stolen property.
Lieutenant Nick Hahn called the arrests and item recoveries “the direct result of persistent investigative work and strong partnerships with our neighboring law enforcement agencies.”
The investigation is still active, and no additional information, including the suspect’s names, is being released at this time.
