A Milwaukee alderman is no longer running for Congress.
Peter Burgelis has suspended his campaign for Wisconsin’s 1st Congressional District House seat and called for Democrats to unite.
Burgelis was trailing behind other Democratic candidates in the race with just weeks until Wisconsin’s primary election.
He mentioned whoever is representing Democrats should have the support of the whole party.
The winner of the August 11th primary will go up against Republican incumbent Rep. Bryan Steil.
