As the Manitowoc Public School District transitions to a Ships mascot districtwide, the current logo has been updated.
Superintendent Lee Thennes explained on WOMT’s Be My Guest program that the district worked with the Donovan Group to help create a slightly newer ship’s logo.
It is not all that different from the old one, but the ship itself has more defined lines. Thennes says staff and parents in the district all got to vote on the updated Ship.
The MPSD superintendent announced last year that all district mascots will transition under the Ship’s name, “uniting the schools and community under a shared identity that celebrates Manitowoc’s rich maritime heritage.”
More information about the new logo will be coming out in the future.
