A Sauk County man is scheduled for a competency hearing after allegedly killing his wife in May.
The sheriff’s office says Susan Paul was shot and killed by George Paul in Baraboo and charged with intentional homicide.
The Prairie du Sac couple was at a nature preserve when George allegedly shot Susan, and then opened fire on the Sauk Prairie Police Department building.
A criminal complaint said George suffers from dementia and thought his wife was some sort of creature.
The competency hearing will take place on September 29th.
